Size Guide

I use and follow the Australian Standard Size Guidelines. But I also believe there is no such thing as a standard child.

When I design and make something I add adjustments for play and fit. A higher rise in the back of shorts helps to keep bottoms covered when bending or climbing. The adjustable elastic in our skirts, skorts, shorts, and some dresses allows them to be modified up to 3 sizes bigger or smaller in the waist with a simple adjustment. This offers a more custom fit for a little girl who is rounder in the tummy but not tall. Or a slimmer girl needing a little extra length. Straps are also adjustable where possible.

We are all different sizes. Yet often find fault in ourselves when something doesn't fit. The ability to adjust the fit to suit their needs helps to give a child more confidence in themselves by letting them know their size is just right.

At Finding Alice, we pride ourselves on providing clothing that is wearable and durable. Not just cute. Boys clothing allows them to move around more freely, less restricted by what they wear. A girl should likewise be able to climb a tree or be a pirate captain if she wants to. Without worrying if her shorts are covering her bottom or sacrificing her own sense of style.
